The simple slender silhouette and color of this pattern is the perfect choice when trout feed on chironomid larva. Target mud and marl flats, in particular, these regions are home to thousands of chironomid larva on productive lakes. Present this fly close to the bottom and keep the retrieve dead slow. A Frostbite Bloodworm is also an excellent pattern to wind drift using a floating line and long leader.
