These fine-tuned lake lines with integrated tippet rings were designed by Phil, who is a RIO Ambassador. With no welded loop, Phil's Ambassador Series of lines pass through rod guides with ease. To attach a leader, use a clinch or improved clinch knot, creating a streamlined leader connection. On-the-water line changes are also easy with this tippet ring connection.
Phil has chosen some of his favorite RIO lake lines, particularly those typically used with long leaders, to make up this new series. The Stillwater Floater, Aqualux, and all configurations of RIO Midge Tips will be available with integrated tippet rings in 6wt and 7wt.
